MRL will produce tubeless and tube-type tyres with the following representative sizes: 

Scooter Tyre Sizes

• 90/100-10: Used in scooters like Honda Dio and TVS Jupiter.
• 90/90-12: Used in scooters like Honda Activa and TVS Ntorq.
• 2.50-16: Used in mopeds or older scooter models.

Commuter Motorcycle Tyre Sizes

• 2.75-18: Common for front tyres on bikes like Bajaj Platina, Honda Shine, and TVS Star City.  • 3.00-18: Used for rear tyres on commuter bikes such as Honda Unicorn and Bajaj Discover.  • 90/90-18: Used in bikes like Yamaha FZ-S and Suzuki Gixxer.
• 100/90-18: Used for rear tyres on models like Honda CB Shine.

Performance and Mid-Range Motorcycle Tyre Sizes

• 110/70-17: Used as front tyres on bikes like Yamaha FZ-S FI and Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
• 140/70-17: Used for rear tyres on performance bikes like Yamaha FZ-S FI and Bajaj Pulsar 150.
• 90/90-17: Used in bikes like TVS Apache RTR 160.

A tyre flap, also known as a rim flap or inner tube protector, is a rubber strip placed between  the inner tube and the rim of a vehicle wheel, typically in heavy-duty vehicles like trucks,  buses, or off-road equipment. Its primary function is to protect the inner tube from abrasions,  punctures, or damage caused by direct contact with the metal rim, rough edges, or spoke  heads. It also helps prevent corrosion of the rim and ensures a better seal for maintaining air  pressure.

Common Tyre Flap Sizes

Truck and Heavy-Duty Vehicles:

• 9.00×20
• 10.00×20
• 11.00×20
• 12.00×20

These sizes are widely used for commercial trucks and buses, designed to protect inner tubes  under high-pressure and heavy-load conditions.

Light Trucks and Smaller Vehicles:

• 7.00×15
• 7.50×16

These are suited for light trucks or smaller commercial vehicles, offering durability for less  demanding applications.

Agricultural and Industrial Applications:

• Flaps for agricultural tyres (e.g., tractors) and off-the-road (OTR) vehicles may span  a range of tyre widths, such as 23.1-26, 14.9-28, or 16.9-30, depending on the  tyre size. These are often custom-made to fit specific machinery.
• Some flaps are labeled with a range (e.g., 9.00/10.00-20), indicating compatibility  with multiple tyre widths.

Other Sizes:

• Matangi produces flaps for Radial, Bias, Industrial, or truck tyres, with sizes made to  order based on specific requirements, not always pre-stocked.
• Specialized flaps for forklifts, cranes, or military vehicles may have unique  dimensions, such as 105×1.2×16 mm for certain applications.
